Future Continuous

Formula:

will + be + V-ing

For example: will be working

Subject + will + be + a verb ending in -ing.

To describe an action that will be in progress at a specific moment in the future.
To emphasize the process, not the result.
When it is important that the action will be ongoing, not finished.
For polite questions about plans (Will you be coming?).

Example 1 (action in progress):

At 10am tomorrow, I will be driving to work.

Example 2 (future plans):

This time next week, we will be lying on the beach.

Example 3 (polite question):

Will you be joining us for dinner?

Future Continuous vs Future Simple

Future Simple (will + V) describes a fact or a decision, while Future Continuous shows an action in progress.

Example: I will call you tomorrow. I will be calling you at 7pm.

Future Continuous vs Future Perfect

Future Continuous focuses on the process; Future Perfect focuses on completion by a specific time.

Example: At 8pm I will be studying. By 8pm I will have finished my homework.

Future Continuous vs Future Perfect Continuous

Future Continuous describes a process at a specific moment; Future Perfect Continuous emphasizes duration up to that moment.

Example: At 5pm she will be working. By 5pm she will have been working for 3 hours.
